Internal Nursing Training Programs

The internal registered nurse training programs facilitate professional growth for JMH nurses looking transition their career from one department to another.  The training programs provide learning experiences in a variey of settings, including: classroom, online, skills lab, simulation and bedside clinical  experience with a trained preceptor. Currently at JMH, we offer the following programs at our acute care medical centers:

  • Medical-Surgical to Progressive Care
  • Progressive Care to Critical Care
  • Medical-Surgical to Emergency
  • Medical-Surgical to Labor and Delivery
  • Float pool cross-training programs for the following departments: 
    • Emergency
    • Progressive Care
    • Critical Care
    • Pre-Operative Services
